👉 You can skip to Step 3 to test it first. If your TV responds, no pairing is needed.
If it doesn’t respond, return here to pair the remote.

Enter pairing mode

Press and hold the center button on the zTV Remote.

  • At ~2 seconds, the LED blinks green — keep holding

  • At ~10 seconds, the LED flashes red rapidly 5 times — release the button

Pairing mode is now active.

Send the power signal

Within 10 seconds:

  • Aim any infrared (IR) TV remote about 6 inches from the front sensor of the zTV Remote

  • Press the TV remote’s power button once (quick press only)

Confirmation

  • Green flash: Pairing successful

  • Red flash: Pairing failed — repeat the steps above

Step 3: Confirm the pairing

To test:

  • Aim the zTV Remote at your TV

  • Press and hold the center button for 2 seconds, then release

The LED will blink green and your TV should respond.
If it doesn’t, return to Step 2 and repeat the pairing process.

Step 4: Position the zTV Remote

Place the zTV Remote within 30 feet of your TV with a clear line of sight.

  • Horizontal placement: Aim the front sensor at the TV

  • Vertical placement: Aim the top sensor at the TV

Test the location by pressing and holding the center button for 2 seconds.
If the TV responds, secure the remote using the included Velcro or another mounting method.

Common locations: bed headboard, nightstand, or side table.

Step 5: Using the zTV Remote

Set a sleep timer

Each press of the center button adds 15 minutes.
Example: Press 3 times = 45-minute timer (LED blinks 3 times).

Adjust or restart the timer

Press the button again to cancel the current timer and start a new one.

Manually turn off the TV

Press and hold the center button for 2 seconds, then release.
This turns off the TV and cancels any active timer.

Important note

If the TV is turned off using another remote while a timer is active, the TV may turn back on when the timer ends. This is normal behavior caused by TV power toggle functions.
